Over Christmas and New Year, we set ourselves a little challenge to do some fundraising for Samaritans.

We’re happy to report that we did WAY better than we could have hoped for and raised the not-too-shabby amount of £539!!

HUGE thanks to everyone who donated to the cause.  Here’s some information on where your money will go…

£5 is the cost to answer a call for help.
£96 trains and supports an existing volunteer for a year.
£200 covers the cost of a new volunteer.
£500 keeps Samaritans’ phone line open for one hour.
It costs £3,105 per hour to deliver our service through 20,000 trained volunteers.
£12,000 could keep Samaritans’ phone line open for 24 hours.
