When I first volunteered to get involved in a campaign to save our local country park from a government road development, little did I know that this would become a huge part of my life.  It’s turned into a part-time job, opened my eyes to the world of activism, the climate emergency and our apathetic government*.  Above all, I’ve learned that people power really does work… and I’ve met some weird and wonderful people through doing this!  If you care about something that’s under threat, get off your backside and do something about it.
